AAIDO | Institutional Digital Modernization

Context: AAIDO is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity (IPSS) based in Oeiras, dedicated to supporting the elderly and disabled since 1991. The organization required a digital overhaul to ensure their services (Day Center, Home Support, and Residential Structures) were accessible to families online. The primary challenge was technically modernizing their visual identity without erasing the history of their original clover emblem.

Intangible Assets

Heritage Preservation: The goal was evolution, not revolution. The redesign respected the original “Round Clover” concept, a symbol of luck, nature, and care, but stripped away the pixelation and noise of the 90s to create a symbol that communicates clarity and professional hygiene.

Digital Assets

Vector Engineering: The core task was the mathematical reconstruction of the logo. The old pixelated bitmap was redrawn into a precise geometric SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic). This ensures the logo is “pixel-perfect” on any screen, from a 4K monitor to a low-budget smartphone.

Responsive Logo Architecture: A dual-system was created:

The Master Emblem: A lively, websafe green clover with the full text in a concentric circle for desktop and official use.
The Header Variant: A simplified, high-readability version engineered specifically for the website header, ensuring the brand remains legible even when vertical screen space is scarce.
Infrastructure & Hosting: Full-stack responsibility for the digital ecosystem, including the hosting and deployment of the responsive website. The site serves as the primary information hub, using the WordPress content management system, with my initial text revision, and photos selected directly by the client as a choice.

Physical Assets

Digital-First Strategy: Unlike other projects, the scope here was purely “bits”. No physical stationery was produced. However, the creation of the Master SVG/PDF provides the institution with a future-proof asset that can be scaled to any physical size (from a business card to a building banner) without loss of quality, should the need arise.

The Result: AAIDO now possesses a digital presence that matches the seriousness of its social mission. The use of SVG technology guarantees that the brand looks pristine on modern devices, building trust with families who are searching for high-quality care for their loved ones.
